Western states are very much effected by this emergency demand de-mand and officials of the Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Company decline to hazzard a gess for the future beyond expressing assurance that the quality of the telephone service to which we have become accustomed in this country the best in tile- world will be maintained at the highest possible level that is compatible with continuing to meet the needs of the Army and National Defense on or ahead of schedule.
