Show Last Rites Held Sunday For Fa irview Resident Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the Fairview ward chapel for Daniel Gilbert, 82, who died at 11 a. m. Sunday at his home in Fairview of dropsy and heart disease. Mr. Gilbert was born September 3, 1858 at East Grafton, Wiltshire, England, a son of James and Sarah Choulesl Gilbert. He emigrated to this country when 17 years old. settling in Richmond, Utah. Later he moved to Fairview, where he took up a homestead and made the family home. Besides being an active church worker and farmer in Fairview, be was also engaged in the implement .yid milk canning busines in Pres ton and the automobile business In Logan. He married Amelia Johanna Jo-hanna Hansen in the Salt Lake En- dowment house July 21, 1881. Surviving are two sons-and six daughters, Mrs. Carrie Knudsen, Mrs. Eraia Rawlings, William D. and Frank J. Gilbert of Fairview; Mrs. Mellie Smith of Weston; Mrs. Etta Hobbs of Riverside, California; Califor-nia; Mrs. Ada Hall of Inkom and Mrs. Amy J. Hyde of Logan, Utah. Interment took place in the Fair-view Fair-view cemetery. o o |
