Brubaker, of Los Angeles, An-geles, will be one of the principal speakers at the Idaho Food Dealers' Convention at Sun Valley Val-ley on June 22nd and 23rd. Mr. Brubaker, who is Western Sales Manager of the Carnation Company, Com-pany, will speak on the subject, "Keeping Our Feet on the Ground." Retail Food Dealers from all parts of Idaho are expected ex-pected to attend the Sun Valley meeting. I BOISE, Idaho, (Special) "How retail food dealers can best serve their communties and country in war time;" that will be the theme of the 1942 convention of Idaho grocers and meat' dealers, to be held at Sun Valley June 22 and 23. R. C. Langrell of Boise issued a call Wednesday for all retail grocers gro-cers to bring their serious business problems with them, but to be prepared also for relaxation and play at Sun Valley. Langrell is president of the Accelerators, Ac-celerators, an organization ot manufacturers, man-ufacturers, jobbers and wholesalers who are cooperating with grocers in arranging the convention. Joe Armstrong of Idaho Falls is president presi-dent of the Idaho Retail Food Dealers. Deal-ers. "For those who arrive Sunday, June 21, there will be a golf tournament, horseshoe pitching, trap-shooting, and sight-seeing," said Langrell. "Special entertainment entertain-ment will be provided for the ladies la-dies on each day of the meeting. "Sports and entertainment will continue Monday and Tuesday forenoons, fore-noons, to be high-lighted by a free ski ride to the 9200 ft. summit of Mt. Baldy for all registered delegates dele-gates and their wives." A buffalo barbecue on Trail Creek, together with dancing and entertainment, will take place on Monday evening, while Tuesday's closing event will be a banquet and dance at Sun Valley lodge, with elaborate entertainment by the Sun Valley staff. Fielding Smith,, nationally known toastmaster from Salt Lake City, will preside at the banquet and introduce gueBts. "We believe this convention to be very important," said Mr. Langrell. Lan-grell. "Grocere are faced with many new problems because of the war. These problems will be discussed dis-cussed at Sun Valley by competent nationally-known authorities." |
