Show o o ROLAND CARTER EXHIBITS FAT STOCK Roland Carter of the Preston high school FFA successfully exhibited ex-hibited two fat beef at the Salt Lake Fat Livestock Show last week. His one entry, the fat Shorthorn steer graded high good, sold for $15 a hundred pounds, and weighed S60 pounds, while the other entry, a Shorthorn heifer, graded good, sold for $14 a hundred pounds, and weighed 840 pounds. These two fat beef netted Roland Ro-land quite a nice reward for the long hours that he has spent carefully care-fully feeding, caring for, training and preparing for the show. Roland bought these two animals last fall from Godfrey Spatig as prospective show materials. He says that he has gained a lot of good experience and plans on following fol-lowing in the footsteps of his older brother, Don, who is one of the more, promising young animal breeders in our community. Roland is in the market for more show steers. |
