Show Arlean Bullock Is Buried at Salt Lake The cortege of sorrowing friends, and which carried the little body of Clara Arlean Bullock, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marius Jensen, killed in a fearful accident near St. Anthony, An-thony, Ida., Monday evening of last week, passed through this city late Monday afternoon, going to Salt Lake, where the unfortunate baby was placed plac-ed to final rest. Interment was at Mt. Olivet beneath the shadow of a billowing tree, which seemed to give forth expressions of sorrow to the grief stricken mother and those close and dear to her. Arlean was the daughter of Mrs. F. O. Bullock, and the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marius Jensen, Mrs. T. C. Nichols, Mrs. J. R. Welland, Mrs. P. G. Lar-sen, Lar-sen, Mrs. John E. Jensen and Mrs. F. G. Coyte, sisters to Mrs. Bullock, together with P. G. Larsen, F. G. Coyte, Mrs. Clarence Madsen, accompanied accom-panied the remains to Salt Lake. Simple, but impressive services were held at the graveside. S. N. Taylor Tay-lor offered a prayer, in which he fervently fer-vently asked the blessings of comfort for the bereft mother, father, and relatives. rel-atives. Services for Arlean Bullock were held at the Second ward chapel at Salina, Monday at 12:30. The tiny body lay in state at the Bullock home for several hours, and mourning friends were privileged to pass before be-fore the casket. The floral offerings were so many and so beautiful that only portions of them were placed pbout the tiny casket. The opening of the services was a solo, "One Fleeting Hour," by Mrs. Lynn Nielson, following which the invocation in-vocation was given by William L. Nelson. "Sometime, Somewhere," was impressively given as a duet by A. C. Prows and Jas. C. Jensen. "A Little Pink Rose" was given as a solo by Jas. C. Jensen. Mrs. H. B. Crandall and Mrs. Afflick Bastian were accompanists. accom-panists. The principal speakers were Mrs. Joe Nelson of Richfield, former Worthy Wor-thy Matron of Gloria chapter, No. 19, Order Eastern Star; Mrs. Oscar Anderson, An-derson, of Salina; Mrs. Hazel E. Robb, Worthy Grand Matron of the state lodge of the O. E. S., and a reading by Jackie Rasmussen, a playmate of Arlean. As the closing solo number, given by request, A. C. Prows sang "O, Sweet Mystery of Life." Bishop G. M. Burr gave a few remarks and K. W. Bird gave the benediction. Mrs. Bullock is a member of the state lodge, Order Eastern Star, and her sisters and brothers from other parts of the state attended the funeral fun-eral services here nnd many were also at the cemetery when final rites were read. Lawrence E. Howard, Worthy Grand Patron of the Eastern Star of Utah, of Bingham, Francis G. Shields, grand secretary, and Mrs. Ena Senior, grand conductress, of Salt Lake, and Mrs. Claudia Sevey, Worthy Matron of the Richfied lodge, were among the officers of the lodge attending the funeral at Salina. Nearly fifty from Gunnison, intimate friends of the grief stricken parents, also attended : the services at Salina. I |
