Show SMALL CHILD INJURED. Barbara, the two and a half year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. June Metcalf, was forced to visit a doctor Saturday evening, at which time several sev-eral stitches were taken in her face and on her hand to close some nasty cuts the baby suffered when she tumbled down a flight of concrete stairs at the Metcalf home. Barbara was in the act of carrying a quart jar to the basement when she slipped. The jar was dropped and crashed to the concrete steps, breaking into many pieces. The little girl, in falling, fall-ing, struck the mass of broken glass with her face, resulting in severe gashes on her forehead, lip and cheek. The third finger of the left hand was almost severed. Several stitches were required to close the wounds. |
