Show Miss Dora Keyser entertained for a group of friends at Palisade park Saturday evening, the event marking the celebration of the birthday anniversary anni-versary of the hostess. Many close friends from Gunnison and Salina were present. Mrs. N. S. Gregory of Midvale, visited vis-ited for a few days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Petty. Mrs. Ray Welling and son, Marius, are here from their home at Los Angeles, An-geles, and are spending a week visiting visit-ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marius Mar-ius Jensen, parents to Mrs. Welling. Wednesday afternoon, Mrs. Welling, accompanied by her sister, Mrs. Franklin O. Bullock of Salina, motored motor-ed to Provo, where they visited with their sisters. 1 j LOCAL ITEMS j I OF INTEREST Mrs. I. L. Henrie entertained at a kensington Wednesday afternoon, in compliment to members of the Bonne Koi club. Mrs. Leo Gledhill gave the reading and at five the hostess serv-, serv-, ed a daitity luncheon. Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Hughes and children cf Salt Lake, spent last weekend week-end visiting relatives at Centerfield. On the trip down they were accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Ida B. Nielson, who had spent a couple of weeks visiting at the state metropolis. Mrs. S. F. Tipton, mother to Ira Overfelt, cashier for the Gunnison Valley bank, and who spent some months at McGill, New, came in from the north Sunday. Mrs. Tipton will be the guest at the Overfelt home for an indefinite period. II. A. Kearns, representing the Occidental Oc-cidental Seed company, was looking alter his business interests in Salina and other Southern Utah points Tuesday Tues-day of this week. m Mayor Horace Brown of Manti, spx-nt Wednesday here cn a combined business and pleasure visit. Douglas Bergeson, the house guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Bown over the week-end, returned to his home at Richmond Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Overfelt, Miss Helen and Eugene Overfelt, motored to Goshen Sunday and spent the day as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Okelberry. Joe E. Lewis, who has been absent in the northern part of the state for several months past, is here for a visit to his family. Dee A. Boyer, representing the New-York New-York Life Insurance company, was here on official business Tuesday. Mr. Boyer makes his headquarters at Salt Lake. J. A. Tuft, John M. Knighton and others interested in the water hearings hear-ings at Manti, were county seat visitors vis-itors Wednesday. Mrs. M. M. Duggins was a charming charm-ing hostess to members of the Wide-Awake Wide-Awake bridge club at her home on Main street Saturday afternoon. In the contest at cards honors were awarded to Mrs. Lyda B. Duggins and Miss Besse Rose. Dainty refreshments refresh-ments were served at small tables for I twelve at five o'clock. |
