Show Utah Will Observe Child Health Day "Child Health Day," which will be observed in Utah Friday, May 1, is showing an inrceased interest since its first observance in 1925, and there is every indication that this year's observance ob-servance will be more widespread than ever before. The movement, as is well known, is sponsored nationally by the American Child Health association, asso-ciation, ad the Utah State Board of Health, considering it of greatest importance im-portance in the promotion of child health and welfare, is cooperating to the fullest extent. Utah's 1S31 May Day Child Health day activities are expected to eclipse those of former years, the national na-tional White House conference, followed fol-lowed by a similar conference in Utah, having greatly stimulated an interest in this worthy cause. Superintendents of schools and others in the respective respec-tive counties, have been asked to assume as-sume leadership in local celebrations, and thus far a hearty response has been received, according to state officials. of-ficials. President Hoover's White House conference on child health and protcc-. tion, recognizSng: the rights of the child as the first rights of citizenship, citizen-ship, pledges many aims for the children child-ren of America. Spiritual and moral training,- understanding and guarding of his personality as his most precious prec-ious right, home and love and security secur-ity which a home provides; prenatal, natal and posrtnatal care; health protection pro-tection from birth through adoles-cense; adoles-cense; vocational g-uidance and full-time full-time public welfare service for relief, aid and guidance of children in every protection in health, danger, habits and education.
