Waller, with the state highway commission of Idaho, and formerly resident engineer of,,, the Utah state highway commission, .-pent a few hours here Monday. Mr. Waller lias his headquarters at Boise, Idaho. Mrs. John M. Anderson and Mrs. E. L. Swalberg, who were among the i many attending the Relief society and general conference of the Mormon j church at Salt Lake last week, have returned to their respective homes. Mrs. Hart J. Sanders delightfully entertained for members of the Gunnison Gun-nison Bridge club at her home at Spearmint. Saturday from one-thirty to five-thirty. A delicious luncheon was served on small tables at 1:30, covers being laid for 1G, following which a lively game of progressive bridge was enjoyed. Mrs. Lcnno Rosenvall and Mrs. P. IT. Jones were victors in the card contest. Miss Vera Roberts, a student at the Utah Slate Agricultural college in Logan, came down from the north last week-end to be present at the wedding reception for her sister, Mrs. Eugene Ludvigson. She will visit until the. remainder of the week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Roberts. Ro-berts. Mrs. Wesley Duggins was hostess to twelve ladies Wednesday night of last week, when she entertained in honor of the birthday anniversary of Editha Rosenlund. Tables were arranged ar-ranged for bridge, the entertaining ! feature of the evening, and high score prize was captured by Mrs. Norman Johnson. Following the game, the hos-less hos-less served a delicious luncheon. Mr. and Mrs. Kimbal Larsen and Mrs. -Wesley Duggins and daughters, Audrey and Deon, spent the week-end in Salt Lake City as guests of relatives. rela-tives. Returning Sunday, they were accompanied by Mrs. G. M. Kelly and daughter, Betty Jean, who will be guests for two weeks of Mrs. Kelly's sisters, Mrs. Larsen and Mrs. Duggins. Dug-gins. Ira Overfelt, cashier of the Gunnison Gunni-son Valley bank, was looking after important business matters at the capital city last week-end. Mrs. Joseph Willardson has returned return-ed from a visit to Salt Lake. She met her son, Bert Willardson, who came to Utah to attend a meeting of the turkey growers and she also attended attend-ed the banquet given the closing day, being the guest of her son. Mrs. Joseph Larson returned to Gunnison Monday, after spending several sev-eral days at Salt Lake. She attended the Relief society convention and the 103rd semi-annual conference of the L. D. S. church. |
