No matter how much knowledge one may possess if it does not help one to become better acquainted with oue's self, it is of lit tie avail. A person's worst enemy is too much self-confidence. This self-confidence self-confidence is akin to conceit which has blocked the path to progress in many a career. Self-confidence born of perseverance, tenacity and sheei pluck is one thing, self-conceit Is quite another thing. The sooner we become acquainted with our own shortcomings the better. A secret fault of which we may be unconscious settles In the mind of the man higher up what our fitness may be for advancement. To spend a brief time each day looking into the mirror of our own selves is profitable experience. A person must know his fault If he would correct it. Efficiency is not only achieved by a willingness to work hut by ability plus personality which ever strives to attain. At the age of forty-five one should he well on the way to success In a definite life's work. One of the trag edies in life is to discover that in stead of success, failure seems to be the inevitable result of our efforts. This failure may he attributable to rhe hick of perseverance or courage, hut it also may be the result of hav ing made a wrong choice of a life's vocation. To prevent such a condition arising a careful inventory of our capacity ?iould be made either hy ourselves or hy an expert in the field of vocational voca-tional training. "Know thyself." Not mere chance but reason should he our auide in so important a matter.
