Show Harvest Moon I During the month of March the I moon rises one hour and twenty minutes min-utes later each succeeding evening, hut during the autumnal equinox It rises In the east at nearly the same time after sunset for four or five successive evenings, and this phenomenon has been known for many decades as the Harvest moon. In northern Europe and Canada It Is much more noticeable than In the United States, where for centuries it has been regarded as a lautorn hung in the sky to aid the thrifty husbandmen husband-men to harvest his crops. |
