Show Gunnison Boxers Battle at Richfield Fight fans from Gunnison and Cen-terfield Cen-terfield are planning to accompany three "star" ring generals from this section to Richfield tomorrow, Friday, evening, when one of the most attractive attrac-tive fight cards of the season will be staged at the Armory at Richfield. It is announced that the festivities are being put on by the Richfield American Ameri-can Legion as a benefit, and a bumper crowd is looked for, for the reason 'hat some attractive fights are on the card. Claire Tollc-r.trup, Gunnison's favorite fav-orite in his line of weight, and who has made a fine showing in recent battles, baa been matched with Rowe Pace of Wayne county. Pace, as well as Tollestrup, is a top-notcher, and as this is the main event, it will no doubt prove, the drawing card. Both men will go into the ring pretty evenly even-ly matched and it will be science against science. Harry Christiansen, the idol of Cen-ierfield, Cen-ierfield, and who has won many stiff battles, will go against Max Herbert, a white-hope of Richfield. This match, it is said, will also be a close one. Lloyd 01 sen, the happy fast fighter from Gunnison, is billed to battle Max Sly of Richfield. Fans from Gunnison know Olsen's ability and the local fans know they will see something with Lloyd mixing. Other cards advertised are Don Pace of Wayne county, and Max Fairbanks Fair-banks of Richfield, and Earl Keate and Reed Jeppson. both of Richfield. The matches will be good, as all four are real "mixers." The management announces that a "battle royal" will be one of the features as an opener. |
