Show ! 1 j MANTI NATIONAL I FOREST NOTES 1 -! 1- The new power plant at Ephraim, which paralells the Forest Service telephone line for approximately-one-half 'mile, causes considerable disturbance dis-turbance over that lline and it may become necessary to either move the telephone line or extend the metallic circuit above the now plant and resort re-sort to the use of repeating coils. Hanger Thursby is investigating some timber trespass cases that have occured along just inside the forest boundary north and east of Ephraim. People should bear in mind that no green timber may be cut from the national forest without first securing secur-ing a permit. The following item has been clipped clip-ped from some publication and is being published at this time, since the lambing season will shortly be on and this mixture is said to be exceptionally effective in keeping predatory animals out of the herds: "The can was filled with a mixture of sulphur 7 parts, black blasting powder 1 part. It should burn all night if mixed riirht. If it burns too inicklv the amount of powder should be reduced.
