Show -! CENTERFIELD ; j NEWS ITEMS H Wednesday afternoon and evening even-ing marked the annual event of the entertainment of the "old folks" at ! Centerfield, and as usual, it proved another event long to be remembered i by the honored guests. A goodly ! crowd assembled for the event and I from the time of starting the pro-i pro-i gram, during the feast and at the , dancing party in the evening, every-i every-i one enjoyed the hospitality extended ' to the fullest event. The committee : having the entertainment features in ' charge and those providing the i splendid dinner are deserving Oi I much credit and when the festivities ; closed the guests voted a thanks for ! the kindness shown. Mrs. C. E. Embly, who has been in ill health for some time, was rushed to the Salina hospital Thursday of i last week, and underwent an operation opera-tion for the removal of a gall stone. Her condition was regar-ded as quite serious, but she withstood the ordeal splendidly and her many friends will be glad to know that she is making splendid rscovery. i The high priests of the Gunnison stake are planning a dance, supper 9nd a general good, time at a social scheduled for Thursday, February 16. W high priests, together with their wives will be invited to enjoy the hospitality hos-pitality of the good people of Axtell, who will be hosts at the party. j Luncheon and good music will be fur- ; nished during the evening. j ! Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson, and j Master Carl Poulson, of Sterling, j spent the week-end here, the house ! quests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. I C. H.
