Show Plead Not Guilty; Trial Dates Are Set Mendon Draper and Ivadell Bjerre-gaard Bjerre-gaard Jensen, when arraigned on first degree murder charges Monday at 7 p. m. in district court, pleaded not guilty to the slaying of Andrew N. Bjerregaard, Ephraim bank president, on the night of April 12. On the demand of Lewis Larson, j counsel for the two defendents, separ-l separ-l ate trials will be held, that of Draper to start June 20 at 10 a. m., and on its completion that of the co-defendant will begin. Both defendants were in the court at 10 a. m. when the arraignment was scheduled, but at request of the prosecution pro-secution it was postponed until 7 p. rn., when Draper was again brought from the Sanpete county jail here and Mrs. Jensen from a special cell in a local hotel, j Mrs. Jensen was returned Tuesday to the Utah county jail at Provo, where she has been incarcerated since the preliminary hearing. |
