A. of Box Elder Slake met in tin; Tabernacle at Brig- ' ham City, Wednesday, March 15th, at 10 a. m. Opened by singing and j but we must strive to do right. Lottie Ilunsaker spoke of the many blessings of the Lord, and Iiow He had aided her in bearing the loss of children. Leah Reese felt to respond when called upon. E. R. Snow had once told her, ''Obedience was Heaven's first law." Apostle Snow spoke with much power to the girls. Congratulated them on their progress and encouraged en-couraged them to press onward. Emily Ilunsaker had many testimonies; had seen the sick healed. Thought we were a blessed people. Mary Nelson: We all have j records to make and should ad-I ad-I vanee a step higher each day; should live that those records would be free from blemishes and regrets. Stake Pres. Clawson occupied a few moments. Thought the young ladies spoke very well. Earnestly advised ail to live better lives in preparation for the dedication. I'res. M. J. Snow spoke of the World's Fair work, reviewing from its organization; also of the Woman's National Council, at which Utah was to be represented, and Utah girls put in a true light before the world. The usual program was omitted and a testimony meeting held. Coun. Emma Vance made a few opening remarks; said the object of the meeting was to prepare lor tiie near approach of the dedication dedica-tion of the Temple. We all want to go there and receive blessings. We do not half appreciate the advantages ad-vantages of the day in which wclive. Exhorted the girls to improve ever)' moment by rising to speak. Pros. M. J. Snow endorsed all that had been said. The approaching ap-proaching dedication is a crisis in the lives of every Latter-day Saint; it causes a review of all past actions, to ascertain if we are worthy to go to this sacred place. Coun. Minnie Loveland Snow was excused on account of sickness. Mary Sorensen hoped we might live that the whisperings of the spirit within us would be our guide. Zina Reese Woolley thought the object we had fasted and prayed for a very worthy one. Was very glad she had come. Maggie Young said: It is our duty to make the most of the opportunities op-portunities we have, and improve our minds. We do not understand the principles of the Gospel as we almnbl Fanny Graehl: The Spirit of God is with us to a greater extent in a meeting like this than in any other, because each speaker gives us some beneficial idea. Mrs. BcllTolman: This isa hard life unless we make it happy by our own exertions; however, if it weie not for the obstacles placed in our way, we would not be humble and prayerful. Mrs. McWina Peters had a testimony testi-mony to bear to the truth; gave quotations from church works to substantiate her remarks. j Thought there was a mighty work ' before us. j Mrs. Knudsen: I feci like we were enjoying the spirit, of the Lord. Enjoyed the meeting. j Mrs. Mortensen: don't believe there is a person who has not a ! testimony. Related many cxperi- j en ces. Frances Vright desired an interest in-terest in the faith and prayers of all present.
