Monday, lhat his ward is even a little in advance of the First ward in the matter of a new ward meeting house. The Fourth ward jleople have already begun to haul the rock fur the foundation for their proposed new building, which will be eroded just east of the old ward hull. The edifice will, be constructed of brick, and lined with adobes. The design of the building will make it attractive;, attract-ive;, convenient and commodious. The vestry will be in front, capped bv an imposing tower. When occasion oc-casion demands it, both rooms can be thrown into one large room. The cost of the building will be between $;!,O0(S ami $-1,000. The Fourth warders until rally think they are to have one of the finest ward buildings in the city. The work will be rc-eominenccd as soon as the weather will permit, and pushed through to an early completion. |
