Show Valley Pioneer Passes Suddenly Following a stroke of apoplexy Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock, and weakened by heart trouble from vhichshe had suffred more or less for the past two years, Andrew Hansen Han-sen Bogh, 67, died at his home at Centerfield Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock. When he suffered the stroke Sunday, he became unconscious and lemained so until death came. Mr. Bogh was born in Sorup, Denmark, Den-mark, March 5th, 1868, and was the son of Petro Hansen and Christina Dortea Nielson Bogh. His parents came to America, bringing the boy when but a child, and located at Ft. Green. After residing at Ft. Green for six years, they moved to Center-field. Center-field. Since then the family had made their permanent home at Centerfield. Mr. Bogh was one of the valley's progressive farmers and stockmen, and was highly respected for his activities ac-tivities in church and civic work. He was concerned in the welfare of his neighbors and those in need of care during sickness or , distress, and through this mark of k'ndness he won a multitude of friends who will grieve at his untimely calling. November 13, 1893, he was married mar-ried to Marie Elsie Larsen of Centerfield. Cen-terfield. The ceremony was performed perform-ed at Manti. There were no children born to the union, but Mr. and Mrs. Bogh raised five children, born to a sister of Mrs. Bogh. The children were as his own and all were given educations and cared for as a real father and mother would do. Mrs. Bogh, the widow, and the five children, Vendal Sorenson of Richfield; Rich-field; Alvie Sorenson, Idaho; Orley Sorenson and Mrs. Elodie Westlund, Centerfield; Mrs. Chauncey Funk, Shoshone, Nev., and two brothers, Hans Hansen Bogh and Soren Bogh of Ft. Green, and two sisters, Mrs. Samuel Lublin of Provo and Miss Kate Bogh of Centerfield, are left as survivors. Funeral services will be held this, Thursday, afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Centerfield ward meeting house, with Bishop C. A. Peterson in charge. Burial will be at the Centerfield cemetery. |
