Show Low-Down Vandals Commit Dirty Deeds While a group of friends were enjoying en-joying the hospitality at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ira - Overfelt Sunday evening, vandals of the lowest type staged a disgraceful and unprincipled act outside of the home, with the result that automobile keys were stolen,, stol-en,, reflectors smashed and other damage done to the cars the visitors had been driving. After damaging the cars in front of the Overfelt home, the "gangsters" moved and ransacked the . automobile of Dr. McQuarrie, standing in front of his home. Here they robbed the car, taking a valuable valu-able medicine case. After completing this job the vandals' went south to the home of H. A. Porter, local representative repre-sentative of the Wonder bread company. com-pany. They stole eight chickens from the coop and then sought the delivery wagon, where they appropriated sev- ! cral choice cakes preparatory, no doubt, to enjoying a "stolen feast." When the party at the Overfelt home adjourned and preparations made for departure, it was then discovered dis-covered that two of the keys, which , had been carelessly left in the autos, . had been stolen. One of the machines had to be trailed to the garage. Tuesday morning Dr. McQuarrie, deploring his loss of the necessary equipment for treatment of patients, was attracted in his search to an irrigation ir-rigation ditch. Here the vandals had cached the stolen goods, keys and the broken parts of the reflectors. For two hours the search was continued until all the stolen parts had been recovered. re-covered. The chickens and cakes taken tak-en from the Porter premises, however, how-ever, are still missing. An investigation has been started to ascertain the "dirty" crowd, and it was indicated that "sleuths" ara getting a line-up on the thieves. |
