Show Gunnison Women Win 'Stunt' Contest Members of the Gunnison Business and Professional Women's club, attending at-tending a southern district convention of the B. P. W. clubs, held at the Forrest For-rest hotel at Nephi last Saturday, captured first prize in the "stunt" program. Members of the local club attending and taking part in the program pro-gram were Mrs. Pearl Allmendinger, Mrs. Charlotte Villard, Miss Marie Gledhill, Miss Helen Overfelt and Mrs. Lauretta Kidman. The club members put over for their stunt "A Bird In the Hand," competing against many other clubs. As a reward the Gunnison club was presented with an automatic electric toaster, a presentation presen-tation by, the Telluride Power company com-pany at Richfield. The convention opened at 4 o'clock Saturday, with Ora J. Lewis, of Richfield, Rich-field, district chairman, presiding. Representatives from clubs at Mil-ford, Mil-ford, Salt Lake, Gunnison, Prove Manti, Ephraim, Richfield and Neph were special guests at the convention conven-tion and prominent in the club's activities ac-tivities throughout the state, wen Miss Elizabeth Fitzgerald, formei state president, Salt Lake; Mrs Gladys Nielson, state president, Pro-vo; Pro-vo; Miss Alice Manning, attorney for the Union Pacific railroad, and Miss Alta Thurber, state treasurer. During the early afternoon a brief session was held, and was in charge cf Miss Manning and Miss Thurber. Parliamentary procedure and other matters pertaining to the club activities activi-ties were discussed. The large dining room of the Forrest For-rest hotel was the scene of the activities ac-tivities during the evening. An elaborate elabor-ate banquet was served at six-thirty, and during this time an interesting program was rendered.
