Show Armistice Day Will Be Observed Armistice day, which is to be generally gen-erally observed throughout the United Unit-ed States November 11, will be fittingly fit-tingly observed in Gunnison, and Gunnison Guard Mount, post 104, of this city, has taken the initiative to stage a real celebration here on the memorable day. At a special meeting meet-ing of the post members Tuesday night, working committees were named nam-ed to pilot the affair and arrange for a big time, in which the public, as well as the war veterans, will participate. parti-cipate. The celebration will be for all, and in as much as the local post has been inactive for a few years, only recently reorganized, something real and patriotic is expected. Judge George Baliff of Provo, one of the outstanding leaders in American Ameri-can Legion activities, and declared ! one of the best orators, with more knowledge, perhaps, of the activities of the organization in the west, is to j be the principal speaker of the day. Judge Baliff will be in Southern Utah Armistice day. He is scheduled to give addresses at Monroe and Salina, but will be here in time to address the assembly. Several committees were named at Tuesday night's meeting to put over the celebration here on a big scale. A patriotic program, dancing and other features will be lined up for the day.
