Show MAY FIELD I Mrs. Lloyd Christiansen, Corr. o Mr. and Mrs. Clark Wheatley returned re-turned from Boulder dam last week. Mr. Wheatley has had employment there for the past few months. Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Anderson, J. L. Christensen and daughter, Geraldine, spent Sunday at Fillmore visiting with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Anderson and small daughter, Jean, left for Hatch last Friday afternoon, where they will be guests of Mrs. Flossie Porter. They will remain indefinitely. Mrs. Don Christensen and two children, Dona and R. D., of Salt Lake City, have been guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Christensen the past week. Mrs. Bill Nielson of Axtell, another an-other sister of Mrs. J. L. Christensen, also spent a few days visiting here. Tuesday evening twelve young couple cou-ple spent a delightful time at the left hand fork camp grounds. Chicken, Chick-en, ice cream and other dainties were er.joyed by the hungry hikers. Friday afternoon the children and grandchildren of Mrs. A. C. Anderson surprised her. The occasion was in honor of Mrs. Anderson's 60th wed- ding anniversary. A delicious luncheon lunch-eon was served at 5 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. Udell Christiansen entertained for Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Christiansen Sunday afternoon. A hot chicken supper was served at six o'clock. The ball game played here on the 4th of July was somewhat of a novelty. no-velty. The game was played between the married men and single men. Each player pitched one inning. One would have to have seen the game to fully sense the many methods of pitching that were used. The score was 18-8 in favor of the married men. Sunday afternoon the Mayfield baseball team was defeated by the Ephraim team. The score was 4-2. Mr. and Mrs. William Christiansen are rejoicing over the arrival of a fine baby girl, born July 3rd. Mrs. Alonzo Voorhees of Provo, is the guest of Mrs. Voorhees' daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Wilford Jensen. Ed. Vest's father and mother, of Richfield, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Vest Independence day. The Misses Ellen Christiansen and Myrl Willardson are spending a few days at Salina. Mrs. W. F. Willardson and Mabel Willardson of Preston, Ida., are here visiting with relatives and friends. It was printed in last week's issue that Elaine Christiansen, who was chosen as "Goddess of Liberty" for Mayfield for Independence day, was the daughter of O. J. Christiansen. She is the daughter of J. N. Christiansen. |
