Utah Light & Power company, with headquarters at Park City, spent the . week-end here visiting with his par-' ents, Mr. and Mrs. August Villarcf. j Roy Darlington, for the past several sev-eral years an employe of the El.si-' nore sugar factory and who has accepted ac-cepted a foremanship with the Gunnison Gun-nison Sugar company, has removed his family to Centevfield, Mrs. Darlington Dar-lington and son having arrived Monday. Mon-day. The DaiTmgtons expect to make the valley their permanent home. Miss Mabel Larson returned Tuesday Tues-day after a two weeks' vacation spent j in Idaho. Miss Larson visited in ' Montpelier, Twin Falls, Pocatello and other cities. Mrs. ("Jus TCndeen. a sister to Mrs. Edd. Jensen, was here from her home j at Los Angeles last Friday and Sat-; unlay and was the guest at the Jen-1 sen home. Ben Peterson and Will Gledhill have gone to Idaho for an indefinite : visit. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Childs spent Sunday evening at Mantl visiting with relatives and friends. J. M. Knighton and A. F. Allred returned Monday after spending several sev-eral days at Fishlake. LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST Mrs. Elizabeth McClure of Levan, is here as the guest of her niece, Mrs. A. M. Peterson. Mrs. McClure expects to make an extended visit. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Kenny and Mrs. Lester Kenny of Salt Lake were Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Amasa Kenny. Ken-ny. Mrs. Amasa Kenny has returned 1 from a visit to her daughter, Mrs. K. H. Brown, at Salt Lake City. - Paulcs Peterson, who . spent the past five months at Eagle, Colorado, has returned to Gunnison. He ex- j pects to remain here for an indefi-1 nite period. Mr. and Mrs. IrvinWillardson are nere from their home at Los Angeles. Ange-les. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Sorenson and two sons have returned to their I home at Salt Lake after visiting with relatives here for several days. Mrs. Alma Jorgensen and children, who have been the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Larsen for the past week, left for their home at Salt Lake this morning. Misses Julia and Helen Hagan ami Lois and Helen Overfelt, who have been students at the Wasatch academy acad-emy for the past few years, left for Mt. Pleasant the first of the week where they will again take up their studies. ! Mr. and Mrs. George Francis and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Newman spent a few days last week exploring the southern section and enjoying a va cation. They visited Antimonj, afterwards af-terwards motoring to Widstoe where ' some splendid fishing was indulge! in. Some big fish were caught and some larger ones got away, according accord-ing to Messrs. Francis and Newman. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Glen of Salt Lake spent Monday in Gunnison visiting vis-iting with friends. They returned north Tuesday. Miss Alta Nelson, who has been absent for the past two months, returned re-turned to her home here Saturday. During her absence Miss Nelson, accompanied ac-companied by her father, visited Vel-, lowstone National park and Idaho j j points. Later they went to Southern j California and seven weeks were ' spent at Catalina Island. Orville Watts, who will be principal princi-pal of the schools at Venice, left Monday Mon-day to take up his duties for the I coming school term. I . j Mayor Parley Christiansen motored motor-ed to Wales Tuesday, where tie wi" visit his new grandson, born to Mr.' and Mrs. E. L. Christiansen last j month. Mayor Christiansen was accompanied ac-companied by Edwin Larson. Milton Olsen, representing the Sevier Se-vier Buick Sales company, PJchficl 1, was here Tuesday. Salt Lake-Tuesday Lake-Tuesday afternoon. Miss Betty Villard, a student ut Wasatch academy at Mt. Pleas-ant during the past two years, will attend at-tend the Westminster college at Suit Lake and the first of the week she left to take up her studies. Miss Villard Vil-lard will major in languages at the Salt Lake school. Bert Madsen, assistant manager for the C. W. & M., and Mrs. Mail-sen Mail-sen and Elaine and Kearney motored to Salt Lake early Sat.rirday morning morn-ing and enjoyed the festivities accorded ac-corded Lindbergh.
