Show o USING AMERICAN MONEY The outbursts in America as well as the rest of the world during dur-ing the Sacco-Vanzetti incident ought to be enough to convince the most skeptical that the Red menace is something more than a ere ation of fancy on the part of the American nationalists. There can be little doubt that the Red activities manifested at that tme will result in some good, especially along the line of strengthening strengthen-ing the defenses of the immigration act. And incidents continue to occur showing that the headquarters of the Communists at Moscow are by no means inactive. A recent Associated Press dispatch from Berlin ought to furnish fur-nish food for thought to those Americans who, undoubtedly capitalistic cap-italistic themselves, insist that we ought to recognize the soviet government in order to do more business with Russia. The dispatch dis-patch quotes a Russian democratic newspaper to the effect that the German Communist party has been enjoying an allowance of $200,000 per month from communistic headquarters at Moscow for the purpose of fomenting unrest . But the signif icant statement state-ment is to the effect that this money has been taken from the receipts re-ceipts of Russo-American trade. It would seem, therelore, that American capital going to Russia Rus-sia to promote commerce in Russia has; been used in turn to spread communism in other parts of the world. Here is something for American capitalists, who depend on orderly government for their lives and fortunes, to think over seriously. |
