Hansen, 67, Norwegian vice counsul in Utah, who resided at 852 South Third East street, died at a local hospital. He had been a representative of his government gov-ernment here since 1916. Cigaret smokers in Utah paid taxes to the state department de-partment during the period from May 8, 1923 to May 7, 1925, the sum oi $217,582.60, while the net expenses ol administering the law which provided for the payment of the tax amounted to $17,250.54, so that the net profil to the state amounted to $200,332.06.
