Show MAKE HIT WITH SHOW Axtell, though small, boasts of a real active dramatic club and from reports of a recent performance, the actors are "real" ones and made a lasting impression when "The Road to the City" was presented at the meeting house. The house was crowded crowd-ed to capacity and the performers were at their "best" and altogether I the performers made a "hit." Bud ! Thorpe, in his sleight-of-hand performance, per-formance, outclassed the famous Ali-Dan Ali-Dan and held his audience spellbound spell-bound by his magic tricks. Other be-tween-act specialties were a musical reading, "Old Time Wedding Day" by Mrs. Ruel Nielson and a duet by Misses Alta Peterson and Lura More-ly. More-ly. The club, comprising Sidney Peterson, Pet-erson, Maurice Jensen, Deon Nielson, Bertram Olsen,. Mary Jacobsen, El-vona El-vona Sorenson, Lura Morely and Lida Olsen, is planning on visiting several of the nearby towns at which time the play will be presented. |
