Show Baby Halverson Buried Monday Solemn and impressive funeral ! services were held in this city Mon- j day afternoon for little Georgie Helen Halverson, the 21-months-old daugh: ter of Mr. and Mrs. George Halverson, Halver-son, former residents of this city. Services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray B. Metcalf, close relatives of the deceased. Joseph Christensen and A. E. Parks, speakers speak-ers at the funeral services, spoke feelingly for the little one and spoke words of sympathy and condolence for the bereaved parents and relatives. rela-tives. Mrs. June Metcalf sang a solo and other impressive music was furnished by a selected quartet. Georgie Helen Halverson died at the home of her parents at Salt Lake City last Friday morning at ten o'clock following a week's illness from pneumonia. The little girl was first stricken with measles and it was presumed she was on the road to recovery. Pneumonia developed, however, and she passed to her Maker peacefully and in the presence of her parents. The remains were brought to Gunnison Gun-nison Sunday and burial services f ol7 lowed Monday afternoon. Georgie Helen was born in Gunnison Gunni-son and about a year ago the parents removed to Salt Lake. Although but "a child, Georgie was known for her bright and cheerful disposition and death coming as it did cast a deep sorrow for the parents. At the fun-, eral the deepest sympathy was shown by the profusion of beautiful flowers and the words of sympathy for the parents. Miss Lulu Halverson, eldest daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Halverson, was unable to attend the funeral, she being be-ing confined to her home suffering from pneumonia. Before Mr, and Mrs. Halverson returned to their home Tuesday, they had been advised that their daughter was slightly improved im-proved and that it was thought the danger point had been passed. |
