Show EMPLOYES ENJOY BIG j PICNICING IN MOUNTAINS' I ! Manners ami employes of the Te'.kiride Power company, together with tlieir children, and numbering: more than GO, enjoyed a splendid outing at the Beaver canyon plant, high in the mountains, last Sunday, and according to Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Johnson and Mrs. Ellen Hofreins, who attended the affair from this city, th? celebration proved one of real enjoyment and pleasure. In the contests, which were many and which mn, women and children took part, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Hofheins captured cap-tured prizes. Mas. Johnson won the wheelborrow race, A dilapidated dilapid-ated and worn out vacuum cleanen J The prize won by Mrs. Hofheins was ' j a 'gooiUfor-TiotViing" electric iron. 1 Mrs. Hofheins, competing against a i big field, won the plaudits of the ! crowd for her ability to master a I "kiddy scooter," and she won easily. The morning was spent in getting j acquainted and enjoying the kiddies scramble in a peanut and candy hunt. The big spread at noon was 'the real feature. Employes of the power company, com-pany, all of whom own electric cookers, cook-ers, earned with them delicious roast chihken, roast meats, salads, potatoes and oceans of other goodies, all prepared pre-pared the electrical way, and boy they say it was good. |
