Show Evergreen Trees Will Add Beauty Tweny-four evergreen trees, varying vary-ing from 4 to 5 feet in height, are to be planted at the Gunnison City cemetery cem-etery tomorrow, the work being jne at the order of the city council. Mayor May-or Chrisiansen, who is supervising the work of securing the trees and also of the planting, stated yesterday that the trees had been purchased from the Forest officials, and will be obtained from Twelve Mile canyon A charge of twenty cents each for the trees is made by the government. It is planned to plant a tree close to each hydrant in the city cemetery, and others will be placed at convient places where water is handy for irrigation. ir-rigation. i In addition to the 24 trees to be j planted at the cemetery a dozen will be placed in the Gunnison City park. The planting at the park is also be-! be-! ing done by the city officers and the trees will be systematically arranged i to create the most pleasing effect. In as much as Memorial day is to be observed next Monday, it has been suggested that property owners and 1 those interested in the beauty of the 1 cemetery, get busy and cleanup, preparatory pre-paratory to the time of decorating the graves of those who are buried there.
