Show MISS McMONIGAL HONORED Miss L. S. McMonigal, of the Gunnison Gun-nison Presbyterian mission, was paid a high and loving tribute when some fifty of her friends from this city and Mt. Pleasant gave her a a splendid birthday anniversary greeting at the Presbyterian chapel Tuesday evening, following the regular regu-lar services. A program of music in which Mrs. Ronald C. Norman sang a solo, Miss Grace Sample gave an instrumental selection, and Misses Betty Villard and Alda Metcalf rendered an instrumental duet, proved prov-ed one of the pleasing features. Mrs. Caroline Peterson, in behalf of the members of the Ladies Missionary society of Gunnison, presented Miss McMonigal with a beautiful token of esteem and respect. Other gifts were also presented to the honor guest. Following a social time delicious de-licious refreshments were served. Outside guests attending the social were Rev. and Ms. A. V. Boand, Professor and Mrs. C. L. Johns, Miss Grace Sample and Miss Fleming of Mt. Pleasant, and Miss Edna Voss of New York City. |
