Show Soldier Boys To Remember Fallen Plans for appropriate observance of Memorial Day, in so far as the soldier dead are concerned, have been completed by the ex-service men of this city. Services will be held at the city cemetery at ten thirty tomorrow, to-morrow, Friday, morning, and will be carried out strictly on military lines. The ex-service men will gather at the cemetery and the firing squad will fire a salute over the graves of the fallen dead of the late world war and taps will also be sounded over each grave. The same ceremonies cere-monies will also " be carried out feu; the soldiers of the Black Hawk Indian war veterans and the Spanish-American war veterans who sleep in peace at the cemetery. Each grave will also be decorated with an American Amer-ican flag. The Gunnison band, just recently organized, will aid in the ceremonies, and will be at the cemetery. Several Sev-eral patriotic selections will be played. play-ed. The public is invited to be present pres-ent and assist the former soldier boys in carrying; out the program. |
