Show - AXTELL NEWS ITEMS Wednesday of last week, Mrs. Joseph Jensen was hostess to the following at a delicious turkey dinner din-ner in honor of her birthday anniversary, an-niversary, Mr. and Mrs. John Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Eyring Jensen. Mr. and- Mrs. Sidney Peterson Mrs. Warren Ireland and Mr. and Mrs.' Harry Ditlivsen of Salina. Wednesday of last week Mrs. Carl E. Nielson was the honor guest at a birthday party given by the Axtel Relief Society. 1 Mrs. Nielson is first counselor in the Society and has served in this office for a number of, years. She was presented with a beautiful linen tablecloth as a mark; of love and friendship from the Society. j Miss , Alice-Jensen of Magna came in Sunday and spent the day with, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Jensen. Jen-sen. She returned Monday and was accompanied by her sister Grace. Miss Grace will spent a few weeks at Magna visiting relatives and friends. I j Mrs. C. W. Nielsen went to Ephraim ! Wednesday to be present at the! 'graduation from the Snow Normal College of her daughter, Una. Mrs. Nielsen and Miss Una returned to Axtel Sunday. ; . Miss Elvona Sorenson, a graduate ; of the Gunnison Valley High School this year, won honor for herself and j for her town when she was awarded a scholarship to the Snow Normal College. ! Mr. and Mrs. Ferry Morley of McGill, Nevada, visited this week with Mr. Morley's brothe", George Morley of Axtel. They returned to ! their home this morning and were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. George Morley and Miss. Wilma. j The Morleys expect to be gone j some ten days visiting relatives and friends in Naveda. j Bishop and Mrs. Royal Whitlock and Mr. and Mrs. George G. WTiit- lock spent Mother's Day at Mayfield. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Peterson were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ruel j B. Nielsen. ! Mrs. Leland Simpers, nee Miss ! Alta Bijjeregaard, is convalsing at the Salina Hospital with her new daught-I daught-I c-r. The little Miss arrived Saturday ! May, 8th. Both Mrs. Simpers and baby are getting along nicely. i |
