Show Local Lions Name Year Candidates Nomination of officers to servo for the Gunnison Lions club for the coming com-ing year were made at the regular luncheon meeting held at the Gunnison Gunni-son hotel last evening. Ira Overfelt, at present vice-president of the club, Leo D. Bardsley and Elmer Nielson, were placed in nomination for the office of-fice of president. The candidate receiving re-ceiving the second high vote at the regular election, will be vice-president. Leo D. Gledhill and Julius Duggins received nominations for the office of secretary-treasurer; Dr. S. S. Kunz and Linn II. Johnson, are the candidates for lion tamer, and I.ennn Rosenvall and Fred H. Jones will be the contestants for the office of tailtwister. Four members of the board of directors will be elected, and the following were placed in nomination nomin-ation at last night's meeting: N. L. Hermansen, Dr. J. A. Hagan, C. M. Edwards, H. W. Cherry, J. R. Howard How-ard and Parley Christiansen. The regular election of officers will be held at the next regular meeting to be held Wednesday evening, May 26th. Edwards, gave a report on the district convention conven-tion held at Ogden the early part of last week, stressing upon some splen- did ideas pertaining to the activities of the local club. It was also announced an-nounced that a special round trip rate of $28.05 would be made to I ;on delegates and their friends who planned plan-ned n attending the International Lions convention to be held at Snn Francisco next July. |
