Show . Instruct Swimmers For life Saving Announcement of a Red Cross t raining school in first aid and life saving to be hold at the Deseret Gymnasium, Salt Lake. City, from May 24lh to 27th, inclusive, is made by L .E. Palmer, first aid and life saving field representative for the Pacific Branch of the American Red Cioss. This training school is designed design-ed to offer persons carrying on swimming swim-ming work, whether they be camp councillois, life guards, swimming instructors in-structors or enthusiasts, an opportunity opportun-ity to familiarize themselves with the more recent trends in the field of water wa-ter safety. The institute will be under the persona! per-sona! direction of Mr Palmer assisted by Geo.;;? Kughl'mg of the Red Cross cinf'T Vonm-H- of tVip dpmrtment of physical education at the University j (if California; Charles Welch and Mrs. j Teavl Cummoek, swi nming instruct- j ors of t'ne Deseret Gymnasium, and; rawest llellirgs. swimming coach fori the Uv.iversity of Utah. The t aining school is primarily for ' the purpose of qualifying swimmers t.) act as Re I Cross life saving examine--s, but is also open to all tnenj and women over eighteen years of age! who wish instructions preparatory to passing the Red Cross life saving! tests.
