Show I Nonagenarian Is ! Highly Honored ' N. C. Tollestrup, an early pioneer of this valley, was the honored guest j at an anniversary party at his home j last Tuesday afternoon. The all'air j was given by admiring friends and j relatives and it proved one of the I big social events of the season. Dn-j Dn-j like many who attain an advanced age, Mr. Tollestrup makes no hesi-j hesi-j taney in giving his he reached the j !HHh milestone Tuesday and to eom-I eom-I memorate the memorable event an jolaboiate dinner party was served to some thirty-five relatives and friends. Old and young joined in the celebration celebra-tion of the anniversary, and Mr. Tollestrup, Tol-lestrup, notwithstanding his advnnc-! advnnc-! ed ago, proved himself one of the old-young ones, joining in the merrymaking merry-making and feasting. And too, the honored guest was bestowed with many congratulations. Although DO years of age, Mr. Tollestrup Tol-lestrup is remaikably well preserved and barring a little defect in seeing, he is in perfect health and fully enjoys en-joys life. He has been a resident of ihe valley for more than GO years and in his youth be followed various j occupations, principal among which was that a stone mason. Many of the historic buildings in the city were erected by him and he points with pride to the work he did halt a century ago. Mr. Tollestrup not only enjoys I good health but he enjoys the dis-I dis-I tinction of having nine living child-j child-j ren, 5-1 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren grand-children and five great-great grandchildren, grand-children, making complete four generations. |
