Show NIELSON-GRIBBLE MARRIAGE WEEK'S SOCIAL EVENT Miss Gladys Cribble, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. II. Gribble, and a leader in the younger social set in Gunnison, and Elmer Nielson, a prominent young business man of this city, were united in marriage at the home of the bride Wednesday evening at 6 o'clock. The wedding ceremony was pronounced by Bishop E. L. Swalberg and in the presence of immediate members of the two families and close relatives. Immediately Imme-diately following the ceremony an elaborate wedding supper was served and some thirty, intimate friends and relatives were present. The bride was attired in a smart dress of pink tulle over pink satin, with gray hose and gray suede slippers. slip-pers. She wore a large cluster oi white carnations. The bridegroom wore the conventional blue. Miss Marjorie Sorenson, niece to the bride, acted as maid of honor. Tin Gribble home was profusely decorated deco-rated with roses, peonies, carnations and other flowers, creating a beautiful beauti-ful effect. Mrs. Nielson is a native daughter of Gunnison and has attended high school here. She is a leader in social so-cial work and is an accomplished singer. At present Mr. Nielson is employed in the clerical department of the Peterson Meat & Grocery company. He is a native of the county coun-ty and was born at Manti. He came to Gunnison some two years ago. Following the wedding supper a delightful evening was enjoyed by the guests present. Several solo selections se-lections by Mrs. Nielson, E. L. Swalberg Swal-berg and J. M. Knighton and recitations recita-tions by Charles Perkins were warmly warm-ly received. Mr. and Mrs. Nielson received many beautiful gifts of brie-abrac fancy work, dishes, silverware, glass- J ware and linen. The trousseau worn j by the bride was a gift from her I aunt, Mrs. James Metcalf, of Sal; i Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Nielson will make! their home in Gunnison and wiii receive re-ceive their friends after July first. |
