Show MACKLIN TO OVERSEE STUDENT RESEARCH Four State Federations Have Arranged Ar-ranged Fellowships for Study of Dairy Marketing. H. W. Moorhouse, director of the research department of the American Farm Bureau Federation, announces that Theodore H. Macklin, professor of agricultural economics at the University Uni-versity of Wisconsin, will have charge of the farm bureau research scholarships scholar-ships in co-operative marketing of dairy products. Professor Macklln's appointment and the entire scholarship scholar-ship plan has been approved by the research department advisory committee, commit-tee, which is composed of Dr. C. H. Taylor chief of the bureau of agricultural agricul-tural economics of the Department of Agriculture; Prof. B. H. Hibbard of the University of Wisconsin ; Prof. W, F. Handschin of the University of Illinois, Illi-nois, and Prof. E. G. Nourse of the Iowa State College of Agriculture. Arrangements have already been made in co-operation with the respective respec-tive state farm bureau federations to establish fellowships in Missouri, Ohio, Iowa and Illinois. Under the plan each fellow fel-low will be allotted iG0 per month. This will be paid by the state farm bureau federations. The American Farm Bureau Federal ion pays all the overhead expenses connected with the studies, including Professor Macklin's compensation. Professor Macklin is outlining the plan of study which will be assigned to the graduate students to be followed n llicir researches in their respective states. The work wiil continue throughout the college year. The reports re-ports will be submitted to Professor Macklin, who will analyze the separate :nvestiga!ions and make a final report. It is' hoped thnt the farm bureau research scholarships will make available avail-able new material on co-operative I marketing.
