Show Takes All Cash But Returns Bag Somwehcre in this wide, wide world there is a party ahead just twelve bucks. And it came to him easy. But this party had a heart, at that, and as a result Mrs. L. G. Anderson An-derson of this city is congratulating herself on what she calls good luck, notwithstanding the fact that she is still out the $12. A handsome and expensive traveling bag, a check for $25 and several other articles were returned but not the 12 bucks. Instead In-stead the brief message, "A godsend to us," reposed, snugly where the $12 did lay. , Mrs. Anderson, upon her return from Colorado, was met at Thistle by her husband and mother. In the hurry to get started for home one of the traveling bags was overlooked and this bag was the one that contained con-tained the money, check, etc. The article was not missed until home was reached. A message was' sent but the traveling bag could not be located, and was given up for lost. Wednesday night the missing article came via parcel post and all was intact in-tact excepting the money. It is presumed that the prowler, discovering the bag unwatched, quietly qui-etly appropriated it and made a hasty search, discovering the ready money. The thief, though, had a conscience and, realizing that he could- not use the lingerie, discovered discover-ed the ownership of the bag through a letter therein and sent it back, the bag arriving in Gunnison Wednesday night. |
