Show PLAH PROPOSED FOR AFFILIATING FORCES: Three Ohio Organizations Practically Prac-tically Agree on Terms for Co-operative Marketing. Correlation of effort in co-operative live stock marketing in northwestern and north central Ohio is being sought by leaders of three farm organizations at the present time. Several conferences, confer-ences, attended by representatives of the Ohio Live Stock Shippers' association associa-tion and the Ohio Farm Bureau federation, fed-eration, which are already alFiIhited in live stock marketing endeavor, and by Equity organizations which have been marketing live stock in connection with their co-operative elevators, have ' already been held. While final agreement as to the methods of working together have not been adopted, definite proposals have been made for such agreement, and, with two or three exceptions, agreed upon by the organizations mentioned. Both sides, it is maintained by those favoring the affiliation, have much to gain by it. Under the plan proposed the Equity shipping points would, in most instances, in-stances, be made the local center of county co-operative companies that are operating in the territory. While the final agreement has not been made, leaders on both sides believe be-lieve that the diffleuliles standing in the way of highest efficiency in co-operative marketing by both the county co-operatives and the F.quily organizations organiza-tions can be overcome. |
