Show GUNNISON GIRL MARRIED Mrs. Don E. Pence, who until her return to her home in Gunnison last Friday, was known as Miss Luzon Beck, staged a big surprise for her friends with the announcement that she was married. The marriage ceremony was performed at Price and was a very quiet affair and was kept a profound secret. Don Pence, the groom, is manager for the Ar-fionaut Ar-fionaut Players, out for the Midland Lyceum company. Mrs. Pence is the daughter of Mrs. S. M. Duggins a'fid is well known here. Following the wedding at Price Mrs. W. E. Christ-ensen, Christ-ensen, an aunt of the bride, tendered the newlyweds a wedding supper and in addition to this members of the Argonaut company staged an impromptu im-promptu "reception" when they rout- ed Mr. and Mrs. Pence from their hotel and gave them a midnight chicken feed. Mrs. Pence has joined the troup for which Mr. Pence is manager and yesterday she left to join her husband on the road. The wedding trip will take Mr. and Mis. Pence to Colorado, Texas, New Mexico Mexi-co and Southern California. They expect ex-pect to make their home in Southern California. |
