Show THE COUNTRY NEWSPAPER The country newspaper is an article ar-ticle of immense value to the community com-munity in which it operates, yet it goes unrecognized by both the merchant mer-chant and the general public. In the upbuilding of a eonununity it stands foremost doing the work of a score of men boosting, lauding the possibilities, enumerating the various industries, and the possibli-ties possibli-ties of bringing in more industries and thereby creating more wealth and furnishing occupations for the excessive labor on hand, which otherwise other-wise would have to seek work in other communities where it is obtainable. ob-tainable. Country newspapers are in all respects re-spects like the other industries they must have money with which to operate, oper-ate, and to get the necessary money, they must have the whole-hearted support of the merchants and the public. Advertising in the local paper is one of the ways. Printing of all the local work is the other, j Many business men when sending work out of town have the impres-I impres-I sion that the local printer cannot do I it. But, is the business man certain i that it cannot be done in his own town ? No, absolutel not he possibly pos-sibly will not even go to the trouble of taking the work to the printer and asking if he, the printer, is capable of handling the work. It is a mistaken impression that the business busi-ness man and other who use printing get. Sending the work out of town to a company that has no interests whatever in the town, is not building the town one whit. Bringing the work to the local shop, keeps practically practi-cally all of the money in town, there- by enriching the town to a certain I extent, while sending it out of town ! is sending it out for good. |
