Show f" f V V V LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST. i Harry Ford, operator of a large line of trucks, was here last Saturday Sat-urday on business matters. Mrs. Hart Sanders and children, who spent a week with relatives at : Richfield, returned to their home at j Centerfield last Saturday. i Mr. and Mrs. Marlowe Jensen and : children of Provo, and Glen Jensen i and wife of Salina, were the house ! guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Jensen last Sunday. Miss J. J. Thorpe and Mrs. Cannon i Jensen left for Salt Lake yesterday I morning. They will be absent until the last of the week visiting with I friends and relatives. I Mrs. C. M. Madsen, Mrs. J. A. ! Hatran and Tom Madsen, motored to ' Mt. Pleasant last Saturday for a brief visit. Returning they were accompanied ac-companied by Marion Madsen, a student at the Wasatch academy. Ernest Ilalvcrson, the insurance j man, left for Salt Lake last Saturday Satur-day and before returning will make ! a tour of Carbon county in the in-; in-; terests of the insurance companies he represents. i Mrs. F. W. McMillan entertained at a birthday anniversary party at her lime Monday afternoon of this week. Thirty-five guests enjoyed a social afternoon and a delicious luncheon served by the hostess. ! Mr. and Mrs. LaVor Voohces de-! de-! lightfully entertained a number of their friends Wednesday evening of ! last week at a card party. In the contest Mrs. P.yron Knightin won first prize. A chicken supper was served to eighteen guests. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wilson are receiving the congratulations of their hosts of friends over the arrival of a fine baby girl at their home. The baby was born Monday of this week and both she and her mother are doing splendidly. 1 Mrs. E. Krickson, accompanied by her daughter, Lavon, went to Salt Lake City Thursday of last week and remained until Tuesday, when they returned. They were accompanied by Miss Belva Krickson, who has been at the capilol city (luring the past summer. Attorney C. M. Kdwards and II. A. Kearns left for Nephi yesterday where, they will remain for several days. The ease of Kelley against Kearns, the result of an auto collision colli-sion on the pavement north of Nephi early last summer, will be tried before be-fore the courts at Nephi this week, and Mr. Edwards will handle the ease for the defendant, Kearns. Mrs. Wm. Voorhecs entertained 2!) little guests last Saturday evening from seven until eleven o'clock, the occasion being the celebration of the birthday anniversary of her son, Stanley. Gaines, music and dancing were the feature entertainments. Delicious De-licious refreshments were served at ten thirty. Stanley received many nice gifts from his friends iih a ro-ineniliraiice ro-ineniliraiice of the day. |
