Show j Gunnison Man Is Severely Injured Roldo Larson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Larson of this city, -.is confined to a hospital at East Ely, Nevada, recovering from serious wounds and j injuries he received when he fell and rolled for 75 feet. According to advices received by Larson's parents here, the young man received his injuries October 26 and it happened while at work on the top of a building. build-ing. Roldo was making some repairs on a chimney and it was early in the morning when there was a heavy frost on the roof. The young man lost his footing and slid 25 feet to the edge of the roof. From there i he took a plunge of 25 feet to the ground. When he struck terra firrna, there was a decided slope and L. r-son r-son continued rolling for a dista: e ' of 25 feet. He was picked up unconscious uncon-scious and hurried to a hospital where an examination revealed a crushed arm and a badly bruised body, and a large gash across tne i forehead. j So badly was the arm crushed that ! it was necessary to perform an op-; op-; eration for the removal of parts of bone which had been splintered from j the arm. The operation was just re-! re-! cently performed and advices are that Roldo is now recovering rapidly. I Mr. Larson served in the recent i world war and during an engage-i engage-i ment his left arm was shattered by 'a bullet. The injury left the arm from the elbow down with partial paralysis. |
