Show CITY TAX LEVY FIXED Taxation for city purposes will be based upon a levy of 12 mills this year and will not be increased over that set apart for the year 1921, the members of the city council decided at an adjourned meeting held last Monday night. There will be a slight reduction in taxes due to the fact that the assessed valuation of the city of Gunnison has been reduced re-duced approximately $4,000. For 1921 the valuation was placed at $530,00O,while this year the valuatino is placed at approximately $526,000. The fact that the tax levy has not been increased, and that the administration ad-ministration is holding the expenses to a minimum, is commendable and will meet with the hearty approval of the taxpayers. The amount in mills set apart for the several city departments, are as follows: Mills Contingent fund 3. Waterworks Fund 4. Streets and Sidewalks 4. Special Improvement Fund 1. |
