Show Managers Arrange Football Schedule Sanpete and Sevier county football j enthusiasts took the initial step last Saturday for a series of games when the local division for the football schedule was drawn up. Coaches and principals from the schools : which will participate in. the games j this season were present and more i than the usual enthusiasm was muni-, fest. Among those present from out- j side districts at the Saturday meet-; ing were: Andy Anderson and Henry Terry of the North Sanpete high j school: C. L. Johns, Wasatch acad-l emy; Rulon Clark and Dan Hunter, Snow normal college; C. Ray Evans and Glenn L. Hanson, North Sevier high school; Theodore Martin and Percy Hansen, Richfield high school; South Sevier, G. Olsen and R. Smith. For the reason that equipment is rather expensive and as it would take some time to line up for the season, Gunnison will not participate in the games this season. The schedule sched-ule for the games as arranged at the Saturday meeting held in Gunnison is as follows: October 6 Richfield vs. Snow normal nor-mal college at Ephraim; Jones referee. ref-eree. North Sanpete vs. Monroe at Monroe; Johnson, referee. October 13 Wasatch vs. Monroe at Monroe; Johnson, referee. Snow vs. Salina at Salina; Bell, referee. October 20 Richfield vs. Salina at Salina; Bell, referee. Wasatch vs. North Sanpete at Mt. Pleasant; Jones, referee. October 27 Monroe vs. Richfield at Richfield; Johnson, referee. Salina Sa-lina vs. North Sanpete at Mt. Pleasant; Pleas-ant; Jones, referee. October 28 Snow vs. Wasatch at Mt. Pleasant; Jones, referee. November 3 Salina vs. Monroe at Monroe; Johnson referee. North Sanpete vs. Snow at Ephraim; Jones, referee. November 4 Wasatch vs. Richfield, Rich-field, place to be determined later; Bell, referee. Much interest will be centered on the outcome of the games, which close on Thanksgiving day, and plans have been made to. pit the winners of the Sanpete-Sevier division against the winners of the Utah county schedule. The big game will be played on November 11, and the place will be announced later. |
