Show AXTELL NEWS ITEMS. Axtell, Oct. 5 The Q. P. Club were the guests at the home of Lillian Jensen this week. The time was spent in needlecraft and reading. Dainty refreshments were served at ten -thirty. A. IT. Anderson of Twin Falls, Ida., is visiting with frineds in Axtell. Ax-tell. Mrs. Ruel Nielson was taken to the Salina hospital last Thursday and Saturday she underwent an operation. opera-tion. Her many friends will be glad to know that she is recovering nicely and that it will only be a short time until she will be able to return to her home here. Mr. and Mrs. John Jensen and Mr. and Mrs. James Jacobsen, motored to Monroe last Sunday. Mrs. C. L. Despain delightfully entertained en-tertained for her daughter, Reva, at an anniversary party. It was Reva's eleventh birthday and ten little girls enjoyed a fine time playing, following follow-ing which refreshments were served. Beet growers in this section are making plans to start beet digging about the tenth of this month. The crop in and around Axtell is extra good this year and the growers are happy. |
