Show Local and Personal News ! W. R. Fairbourn, colonizing agent for the Gunnison Valley Sugar company, com-pany, left for Salt Lake yesterday morning. Miss Mary Swalberg, after spending spend-ing several days here visiting with her sister, Miss Melba Swalberg, returned re-turned to her home at Marysvalo. F. W. McMillan was here for several sev-eral days this week from Dividend visiting with his family. Mc reports the Gunnison men at Dividend as doing fine. Mrs. Hannah Rasmussen of Eph-raim, Eph-raim, and Mrs. Kate Buckwell and Lawrence Buckewll of Salt Lake, came in last night. They will be the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rasmussen for a few days. Miss Edna Nelson was hostess to twenty members of the Bee Hive Girls at her home last evening. Sewing Sew-ing and a social time were enjoyed, after which refreshments were served. serv-ed. Howard Norman was the honor guest at a dinner party last Sunday evening given by Mrs.'.-N'orman. The affair was in celebration of Mr. Norman's Nor-man's birthday anniversary and following fol-lowing a sumptuous dinner at six o'clock, Progressive Five Hundred was played played. Honors at cards ' were won by Mrs. Toney Willardson and R. C. Norman. A dandy baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. W. James at Fayette Monday night. Both mother and baby are doing nicely. Miss Elisa Anderson returned to her home in Manti yesterday. She had been the guest of Mr.' and Mrs. Percy Anderson for the past week. Mrs. Charles Rasmussen and son, Moyle, were Ephraim visitors last Friday. They attended an anniversary anniver-sary party given by Mrs. Lauritz Anderson, mother to Mrs. Rasmussen. Miss Leona Edwards of the Smart Shop, left for Salt Lake yesterday morning. While at the capitol city she will buy Easter and spring hats for her millinery store. D. C. Larson, who has been at Summit for several weeks past, is home for a few days visit with his wife and baby. He will return to the railroad town the last of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Jensen of Axtell are receiving congratulations over the arrival of a baby girl at .their home. Little Miss Jensen tipped the scales at 10 pounds and both she and her mother are doing splendidly. Fred H. Jones, assistant cashier of the Gunnison Valley Bank, spent last aturday evening at Richfield!. Mr. Jones was taking special Masonic lodge work. j |
