Singing by the choir. Prayer by Klder Jacob Jensen. Singing. Sacrament administered ad-ministered by the Priesthood of the Fourth Ward. Elder Jonah Mathias read part of the llth chapter of Luke. The choir sang. Elder Lund of Mount Pleasant, was the first speaker. Felt the calm influence which seemed to be in the bosoms of the people. Spoke of the responsibility of the speaker, as well as that of the congregation. Referred to his early experience in the church, which has given him a testimony of the gospel, bringing joy to bis labors. Bore a testimony which he had received since he had been connected with this people. Felt it his duty whenever called to lift up his voice in promulgating the principles of truth. Spoke of the fidelity of those who came here in early days; some with ox teams and others with band carts are deserving of the blessings that will follow them if they will only be faithful to the cause of truth. Felt to heartily shake the hands of those who have toiled bard in crossing the plains in this way. Had always been safe in his feelings feel-ings to follow the cmnselof the Holy Priesthood. High Counsellor W. L. Watkins was the next speaker. It has been by the blessings of Cod, our Heavenly Father, that this people have been preserved up to the present pres-ent time. A great change has come to us in the last few years in the feelings of the outside world;, so much so that the missionaries that go out can gist audier.ecs now where they could not a few years ago. Our young men can go forth in might and be prepared to explain ex-plain the principles of truth in plainness and be prepared to prove all they advocate. Warned all of the influences which are abroad;nol with those who we have thought were our enemies in years that are past, but among ourselves. We must seek to be united and not seek to break up the union that ought to exist among the Latter-day Saints. Referred to the counsel that was given to the saints in years gone by; which was to build homes and to plant orchards, to lay off cities and to live peaceful peace-ful with one another.
