Show LOCALS ANNEX . MORE GAMES Ya' can't stop 'em, see? With a whirlwind line-up and every ev-ery man a player, Gunnison has started a stampede of winning ball games that is going to be hard to stay and if any of you guys thing you can do anything of the kind just mix with the Gunnison Cyclones. . Three games is all thnt the homers have played this year and just three scalps dangle from the belis of the gladiators. First Fairview came to conquer. She lost. Then the farmer boys of Levan had to go hack home and tell their friends "how it happened and how it feels to be defeated." Then the Richfield team, comprised of players from all parts of the state, fell under the slugging of the Cyclones. Oh, boys, some team we have. The game last Saturday between Gunnison and Levan was not an exhibition ex-hibition of good ball. It was too one-sided and the visitors were outclassed out-classed at every point. The score ended we hate to tell anyhow Levan Le-van had six and the home boys rounded out twenty-one scores. In the first inning, WanKier, pitching for Levan, allowed hits to Sorenson and Jones and this opened the melee with all of the boys finding find-ing the opposition curves. The first ended with seven tallies for Gunnison, Gunni-son, with a home run to the credit of Whitlock. WanKier recovered in the third and struck out three men rs they came up. Again he went in the air and was taken out and a "little "lit-tle old man, with a funny little toss," piked in and flanked the mad rush of the Cyclones. Only for a short time, however, and another man wa put in, but too late. RICH FIELD GETS DRX BBIXG. Sunday afternoon, before one of the biggest crowds seen on the local diamond this year, Richfield "took the count" before the Cyclones to the tune of 4 to 1. It was the game of the season and Richfield, heralded herald-ed as haviag players from every southern county in the state, put up a good game, but were outclassed in every point. Hoff, scheduled to pitch for Gunnison Gun-nison for this game, was detained and did not get into the game until the first half of the seventh inning. Lee Pace started out and considering consider-ing the fact that he has not been in practice for nearly six weeks, did splendid work. During his performance perform-ance he allowed only one hit and struck out eight men., Halverson suu! Willardson each landed ' three-baggers three-baggers and Sorenson of Gunnison and Enco of Richfield are credited with a two-base hit each. Richfield had a big bunch of "boosters" and among them were several who disliked defeat and tried to "start something." Officers soon quollod the disturbance and the game wound up with all serene.
