Show Bulls Upon the Public Range (Laws of Utah, 1915, Chapter 03.) An Act amending Chapter 10, Lawt of Utah, relating to bulls and their use upon the public range and forest reserve, defining a pure bred bull, and providing a penalty for a violation viola-tion of any provisions of this act. Be it enacted by the Legistature of the State of Utah: Section 1. Sections Amended. That Sections 1, 2 and 3, Chapter 1CK of the Laws of Utah, 1909, be, and the same are hereby amended to read as follows; Sec. 1 Unlawful to Turn Cattle on Public Range. When. Proviso. It shall be unlawful to turn loose os, range any cattle upon the public domain, do-main, range, or forest reserve of this State, without keeping therewith, . during the breeding season of oavh year, one bull for every forty head, or fraction thereof, of female breeding cattle so ranged; providing that any person so ranging any portion of forty head of female breeding cattle shall jointly provide and arrange fox au interest in-terest in a bull muiiing at large on the public domain range, or forest reserve, where said cattle are ranged. Sec. 2 Bulls to be Pure Bred. Registration Re-gistration Certificate to be Recorded. Record-ed. It shall be unlawful to own and turn loose or allow to run at large, upon the public domain, range or forest fo-rest reserve of this State any bull other than a pure bred, of some recognized re-cognized beef breed of cattle. A pure bred bull as contemplated by this Act must be a bull having a registration certificate from the breed association of its respective breed or one whot-o breeder has issued a certificate under oath stating therein that the bull is purebred, and stating the breed co which it belongs. Such certificate to be recorded in a book provided for that purpose In the County Clerk'a otllee of the county in which the bull is to be ranged, on or before the day any such bull is permitted to run at large. Sec. 3. Penalty. A violation of any provision of this Act shall be a misdemeanor. Sec. 4. This act shall take effect January 1, 1917. Approved March 16, 1915. The foregoing is given place at the instance of Mayfield-Gunnlson Cattle Cat-tle association as a warning in view of the near approach when the Act takes effect. |
